Peach Bread Recipe
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 Eggs
1/2 cup shortening
2 cups mashed fresh Palisade Peaches
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Cream together sugar, eggs, and shortening in a large mixing bow. Add peaches and all dry ingredients, stirring lightly. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 9x5x3 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Yield: 2 loaves.
